The Land of No LightIt was a cold winter night, In the land of no light, And the moon she seemed to stare,The Land of No Light
At the woman so sweet, Who seemed but a treat, To the wolves, who gave not a care,
She seemed in the night, To be oh-so bright, As beautiful as Stallion or Mare,
But in her heart, Was stuck a poisonous dart, And a serpent hidden in that lair,
And o’er the land, There reached a great hand, That picked her up by the hair,
And took her complete, To the land of sleet, To the horrible land of no air.

Twas not to beThere once was one I longed to love,Twas not to be
But she was not for me.
I loved her, and she loved me,
But ‘twas not to be
She was betrothed, this is true, But it was not with me.
She sang a song, sweet and bright, But ‘twas not for me.
I stood like stone atop the wall, But she was not for me.
I wept aloud, and cursed the Fates, But it was not to be.
I heard cries and shouts below, But ‘twas not with me.
I dived into the streets below, But it was not for me.
